Summary
Nonprofits hold events to promote their wonderful work in the community. Special events are also a way to initiate a nonprofit-business partnership and, in the process, raise money with the event. Building these partnerships can be tricky.
The session will discuss the ins and outs of sponsorship, including:
- How to secure sponsors for your event (i.e., who to target and what benefits you offer).
- How to pitch your event so that for-profit businesses choose to partner with your organization.
- How media sponsorships work.
- What other types of sponsors exist.
- What non-event sponsorship opportunities exist.
