In addition to working at the Wildlife Center of Virginia, Cynthia has consulted with various other animal welfare organizations.

Her clients included the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association and Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary, as well as the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA (CASPCA)*, where she served as Acting Executive Director while the board searched for a permanent director. As Acting Director, she improved staff retention by 20% and, at the board’s request, conducted an organization-wide assessment, which helped the organization launch into its next phase of growth.

*CASPCA has 60 staff, three locations, an intake of 3,500 animals per year, and a $2.8 million annual budget.
